Spring is here...

On my recent travels right across Brisbane, Ipswich and Goldcoast the gums are flowering and the bees are building fast.

This means the beekeeper needs to come out of hibernation and be on the ball-

  • manipulate the brood box

  • keep an eye on the numbers

  • add boxes as required.

Also it's a great time whilst you're in the brood box to check for pests and disease and to do your required varroa check and report the result to bee123. (Every 16weeks for this now as it's coming)

If you need us to come out to you to give you a hand please request a booking asap.

It's such a great time to watch the bees right now, and the strong smell of honey wafting through the gardens of an evening is reward itself to just sit and enjoy them.

Have fun and happy beekeeping everyone

Rick
